BeatYourBest may collect information you provide, such as your name, email address, account details, runner profile information, child profile information, run records, sprint times, distances, personal bests, goals, notes, and support messages.
3. Providing information
Some information is necessary for BeatYourBest features to operate correctly. You may choose not to provide certain information, but some features of the app may then be unavailable.
4. Children and family profiles
BeatYourBest is designed for parent-managed or authorised adult-managed runner profiles. BeatYourBest does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. All child runner profiles must be created and managed by a parent or authorised adult. If you believe a child has provided personal information without parental consent, please contact us at [email protected] and we will take steps to remove that information.
5. How we use information
We use information to provide and improve BeatYourBest, create and manage runner profiles, track progress, display PB history, enable profile sharing where requested, respond to support messages, manage early access requests, process subscriptions, and keep the app secure.
6. Sharing information
BeatYourBest is not designed as a public social media platform. Runner profiles are private by default unless you choose to share them using app features.
When you use profile sharing features, information associated with the shared profile may be visible to the people you choose to share it with. You are responsible for ensuring you have permission to share information relating to other individuals, including child profiles.
7. Service providers
We may use trusted service providers to help operate the app, including hosting, authentication, cloud sync, analytics, app store services, email, and support tools. These providers may process information only as needed to provide those services.
These include services such as Google Firebase for authentication, analytics, crash reporting, and data storage, and Apple services for in-app purchases and notifications.
Subscription and payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. BeatYourBest does not collect or store payment card information. BeatYourBest may receive limited subscription status information from Apple to determine access to premium features.
8. Analytics and app improvement
We may use analytics and diagnostic tools, including Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, to understand app performance, monitor stability, diagnose technical issues, and improve app features.
We may automatically collect limited technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, and crash reports. Where possible, we use aggregated or de-identified information rather than information that directly identifies you.
9. Website usage information
The BeatYourBest website may use cookies, basic analytics, or similar technologies to understand website usage, improve performance, and support app-related services.
10. Notifications
If you enable notifications, BeatYourBest may send updates about runs, PBs, shared profiles, app features, subscription information, or launch information. Notifications are only sent where you have granted permission through your device settings.

11. Referral Program
BeatYourBest may offer referral programs that allow users to earn rewards for inviting others to use the app.
If you participate in a referral program, BeatYourBest may collect and process referral codes, account information, and other information necessary to verify referrals, apply rewards, prevent fraud, and maintain the integrity of the referral program.
Referral rewards may be subject to eligibility requirements and verification. BeatYourBest reserves the right to withhold, cancel, adjust, or reverse referral rewards where referrals are found to be fraudulent, self-referred, automated, duplicated, misleading, or otherwise inconsistent with the intended operation of the referral program.
Referral information will only be used for operating, administering, securing, and improving the referral program and related app services.
12. Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. No online service can guarantee complete security, so you should also keep your account details safe.
13. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide BeatYourBest services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or maintain app security and operations.
14. Access, correction, deletion, and account removal
You may request access to or correction of personal information associated with your account.
You may delete your BeatYourBest account at any time using the account deletion option within the app settings or by contacting [email protected].
When an account is deleted, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with the account where reasonably possible. BeatYourBest may retain limited information, such as account identifiers, email addresses, referral records, security logs, or transaction records, where reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, enforcement of our terms, or legitimate business operations.

Some service providers may store or process information outside your country. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to use providers with appropriate privacy and security practices.
